At its core, this is not merely a story about underground fights or superhuman physiques, but a psychological descent into violence as identity. The central image tells the entire story: a young fighter, scarred and bloodied yet resolute, standing in the shadow of an overwhelming figure who is both his father and his greatest terror.

Baki’s journey is framed as a coming-of-age story twisted by obsession. Training is not a path to glory, but a compulsion born from trauma. Every punch thrown is an attempt to close the impossible distance between himself and Yujiro Hanma, a man portrayed less as a human being and more as a force of nature.
