SHELTER (2026) unfolds amid an unprecedented geomagnetic storm that destroys every electrical system on Earth. Society is thrown into chaos, and millions of people run for cover before the world completely collapses.
Cole Mercer (Jason Statham), a former international security agent who has renounced all violence, lives as a hermit in the mountains with his ex-wife Eva (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and young daughter. But when the sky turns red and all signals disappear, Cole is forced to take his family to The Haven — a top-secret underground bunker designed to protect the nation’s most important people.
But The Haven is not the sanctuary it’s been rumored to be.
Inside, Cole discovers a dark truth: the bunker is run by Director Kade (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who believes the outside world cannot be saved — and his plan is to repopulate humanity with a select group of people selected according to a cruel “standard.”
Cole and those not on the list are faced with a life-or-death choice:
Obey. Fade into darkness.
Or fight their way out of the hellish sanctuary.
As the bunker’s automatic lockdown system begins to activate, the air begins to thin, and security levels close in, Cole leads a desperate rebellion, racing against time to open an escape route before everyone is buried alive in the very place they believed would protect them.
In the chaos, Cole realizes that what he faces is not just an enemy with weapons, but a primal human fear: loss of family, loss of hope, loss of humanity.
