Brooklyn Beckham Praised as “Wonderful” by Father-in-Law Amid Family Rift

For the first time since tensions between his daughter Nicola Peltz and the Beckham family became public, billionaire Nelson Peltz has spoken out—praising Brooklyn Beckham as a “wonderful son-in-law.”

Speaking at the WSJ Invest Live event on February 3 in Florida, Peltz was asked how he handles highly public family tensions between his daughter’s family and her in-laws. He responded jokingly, “Has my family been in the news lately? I hadn’t noticed at all.” He confirmed that he had offered advice to both Nicola and Brooklyn, emphasizing: “My advice is to stay away from the media. What good does it do?”

Peltz declined to go into detail about the dispute, saying, “The issues between my daughter and the Beckhams are a separate matter—not today’s topic. But I can say my daughter is wonderful, and my son-in-law Brooklyn is wonderful too. I hope they have a long and happy marriage.”

This marks Peltz’s first public comment since Brooklyn Beckham posted a series of Instagram Stories on January 19, accusing his parents David and Victoria Beckham of being controlling, spreading false information, and undermining his marriage. Brooklyn stated he did not want reconciliation and only wished for peace and privacy with his wife.

The Beckham family has not responded publicly to Nelson Peltz’s remarks. The situation continues to draw global media attention due to the Beckham family’s immense influence and celebrity status.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz married in 2022 after three years of dating. Their last public appearance with the Beckham family was during Christmas 2024. Since then, Brooklyn has more frequently attended events with his wife’s family.

Now 83, Nelson Peltz is the founder of Trian Fund Management and holds significant stakes in major corporations such as Pepsi and Procter & Gamble. According to Forbes, his net worth is estimated at $1.6–1.7 billion. He is known for maintaining a low public profile and is a longtime supporter of the Republican Party.
