Chappell Roan Drops Casey Wasserman’s Talent Agency Over Epstein Ties

Pop star Chappell Roan has announced that she has ended her relationship with Wasserman Music, the high-profile talent agency founded by Casey Wasserman, after his past ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced.
“As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman,” the Pink Pony Club singer wrote on social media on Monday. She added that she holds her team to the highest standards, saying, “No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our moral values.”

Wasserman, who was chosen to lead the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic organizing committee (LA28), has faced growing calls to step down after his name appeared in the recently released Epstein files. The documents revealed a sexually explicit email exchange between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate.
In response, Wasserman apologized for the correspondence, stating that it took place in 2003, “long before her horrific crimes came to light.” He also emphasized, “I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Wasserman Music represents major figures in entertainment, including Adam Sandler, Brad Pitt, and Kendrick Lamar. Despite this, Roan said she refused to remain silent, stressing that artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and protects their safety and dignity.
Pressure is also mounting from Los Angeles officials. LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn publicly called for Wasserman’s resignation from the LA28 committee, saying his continued role distracts from the athletes and the immense work required to prepare for the 2028 Olympics.

According to the Los Angeles Times, many in the entertainment industry expect a wave of departures from Wasserman Music. Billie Eilish left the agency in 2024 following allegations of sexual misconduct involving Wasserman, while Bethany Cosentino, the solo artist and founder of the band Best Coast, exited the agency last week due to Wasserman’s Epstein ties.

Roan is known as one of pop music’s more politically outspoken figures. In 2024, she initially said she did not support Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, sparking backlash, before later clarifying that she would vote for Harris over President Donald Trump.
