Rapper Kanye West is reportedly unhappy about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian dating his longtime friend, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

“Kanye is going crazy with jealousy. This really gets under his skin,” a source told Daily Mail this week. “He’s always struggled with seeing his ex-wife with another man. It was the same with Pete Davidson, and now it’s Lewis Hamilton.”

Romance rumors surrounding Kim and Lewis began circulating earlier this month after the pair were spotted spending a weekend at a hotel in England. The two stars later appeared to subtly confirm their relationship when they sat next to each other while watching the Super Bowl on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

According to the source, seeing Kim and Lewis display affection at a high-profile event like the Super Bowl—surrounded by friends and industry insiders—made Kanye even more uncomfortable. This week, Kim also posted a playful video with her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, in which Lewis’s voice could briefly be heard. “That family used to be Ye’s, and now Lewis is there—it’s hard for him to accept,” the insider added.

That said, the source suggested Kanye’s emotions may be temporary. The rapper is currently in a stable marriage with architect Bianca Censori and continues to maintain a cordial relationship with Kim. On the podcast Khloe In Wonder Land last month, Kim shared that she and West are now on better terms after years of tension over co-parenting.

Kanye and Lewis have known each other for many years. In 2014, they appeared together with their partners at the time—Kim Kardashian and singer Nicole Scherzinger—at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. In 2015, Kanye even invited Lewis to spend Easter with his family and revealed that the British driver had played music in his studio. When Kanye headlined the Glastonbury, Lewis showed his support by watching from the VIP area alongside Kim.

After Kim divorced Kanye in 2021, she and members of the Kardashian family reportedly remained close with Lewis. Kim and the seven-time world champion were also photographed together at the 2021 Innovator Awards hosted by The Wall Street Journal.
