Leonardo DiCaprio Teased for ‘Achieving Everything Before His Girlfriend Turns 30’ at the 2026 Golden Globes

At the Golden Globe Awards 2026, host Nikki Glaser jokingly said she knew little about Leonardo DiCaprio beyond the fact that he has accomplished nearly every major milestone in his career before his girlfriends reach 30.
On stage, Glaser playfully ribbed DiCaprio’s dating history while praising his stellar résumé: a career filled with iconic performances, collaborations with acclaimed directors, one Academy Award, and three Golden Globes. This year, he earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role as Bob Ferguson in One Battle After Another.

Glaser quipped that DiCaprio’s most impressive achievement, however, was checking off all those accolades before his partner turned 30. According to People, the joke referred to DiCaprio’s current girlfriend, Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti, who is 28. The audience laughed, and DiCaprio joined in. Glaser then apologized for turning his love life into a punchline, calling it a cheap joke, and added that she had tried to find other material—only managing to recall a “deep” 1991 Teen Beat interview. “You should open up more,” she teased.
DiCaprio has long been known for dating much younger women and often parting ways after they pass their mid-20s. He dated Gisele Bündchen beginning in 1999 when she was 19; other former partners—such as Bar Refaeli, Kelly Rohrbach, Nina Agdal, and Camila Morrone—also split from him around age 25. Ceretti is seen as an exception, with the pair together since 2023 and frequently traveling together, though DiCaprio has never walked a red carpet with her or discussed the relationship publicly.

His dating history has become a recurring Hollywood joke. At the 2022 Oscars, Amy Schumer joked that DiCaprio’s environmental advocacy was tied to dating younger women. That same year at the BAFTAs, Rebel Wilson teased about awarding a prize to the “most sought-after girl” under 25. Earlier, at the 2020 Golden Globes, Ricky Gervais joked that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was so long that DiCaprio’s girlfriend had aged by the time it ended—prompting an awkward smile from the actor.
Born in 1974, DiCaprio is one of Hollywood’s leading stars. He rose to global fame after Titanic and has since starred in films that have grossed more than $7.2 billion worldwide. In 2016, he won the Oscar for Best Actor after four previous nominations.

The Golden Globes are now operated by Eldridge Industries and Dick Clark Productions following the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s sale of the awards in June 2023. Since the 2024 season, each category features six nominees instead of five. The 83rd ceremony took place on January 11 (Los Angeles time), airing live on CBS and Paramount+.
