Italian beauty who broke Leonardo DiCaprio’s “dating rule” continues to rise

Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti is a standout figure on the global fashion scene—and an “exception” in the romantic life of actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ceretti recently led the flag procession at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics at San Siro in Milan—an honor rarely bestowed on models of her generation. During the ceremonial handover of the Italian flag to the Corazzieri honor guard of the Carabinieri, Ceretti appeared following a performance by diva Mariah Carey. She wore an elegant white gown by Armani Privé, featuring long sleeves and a high neckline, and closed a procession of models dressed in white, red, and green—the colors of Italy’s flag.

First held in 1924, the Winter Olympics take place every four years. The 2026 edition—also known as Milano–Cortina—runs from February 6 to 22 and brings together around 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries and territories. It marks the first time the Winter Games are co-hosted by multiple cities. The opening ceremony featured performances by Andrea Bocelli, pianist Lang Lang, and actress Sabrina Impacciatore, and included a tribute to legendary designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September 2025 at the age of 91.

Ceretti’s appearance drew widespread praise from industry insiders and audiences alike. The event’s host introduced her as a representative of Italy’s new generation of models and referenced her relationship with DiCaprio—an element that has drawn particular international media attention.
Born in 1998 in Brescia, Ceretti was discovered through the Elite Model Look in 2012 and made her runway debut at Milan Fashion Week for Kristina Ti. Over more than a decade, she has become one of fashion’s most in-demand models, collaborating with major houses such as Chanel, Prada, Fendi, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tiffany & Co..

She has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, including the 125th-anniversary issue of Vogue US. Managed by Elite Model Management and The Society Management in New York, Ceretti boasts nearly two million followers on social media and is affectionately dubbed “the pearl of Italy” for her striking aquamarine eyes.

In her personal life, Ceretti and DiCaprio were first spotted together in September 2023 in Ibiza. She was quickly labeled an “exception” for breaking the actor’s long-rumored age pattern in relationships. The couple have remained together since 2023, frequently appearing on trips and at events—though rarely posing together on red carpets. With Ceretti nearing 30, many see her as the rare partner who has defied DiCaprio’s so-called “dating rule,” while continuing to build an increasingly successful international career.
