Heidi Klum Opens Up About Her Daring Outfit

Speaking about the glossy patent-leather outfit she wore at the recent Grammy Awards, supermodel Heidi Klum admitted that the look made it difficult for her to move.

Klum recently shared behind-the-scenes stories about the bold ensemble she chose for the Grammys, according to Page Six.

Appearing on the red carpet, Klum drew widespread attention in a nude-colored leather dress custom-designed by German fashion label Marina Hoermanseder. The figure-hugging gown, which quickly became a hot topic on social media, was made of shiny patent leather and fit like a second skin. Zipped along the side, the design created a striking visual effect that emphasized her curves.

In an interview with People, the 52-year-old beauty revealed that she had planned to wear the dress a year earlier. However, she changed her mind at the last minute and opted for another gown that was sent to her instead. Klum then waited an additional year to finally debut the special design at the 2026 Grammys.

“I thought this was the perfect Grammy dress because people there really express their individuality through fashion,” Klum explained.

Despite its strong visual impact, the dress was far from comfortable. The supermodel admitted that the stiff leather material made moving on the red carpet quite challenging.

“It’s like armor, both in the front and the back. There’s no slit, so it doesn’t stretch at all. You can only take very small steps,” she said.

After the event, Klum was allowed to keep the iconic design. The dress is now carefully preserved in its own box and stored in the basement of her home.

Klum has long been known for her daring fashion sense. She frequently grabs attention at fashion events and on social media with bold, sexy outfits.

Speaking about her habit of wearing revealing clothes and posting provocative photos on her personal page, Heidi previously said: “I’ve been doing nude shoots or wearing lingerie since 1992, long before Instagram even existed. So for me, this is nothing new. Over the past 15 years, others have been doing what I’ve been doing for 30 years. Instead of appearing in magazines showing off a small butt, I post on Instagram. It’s basically the same thing.”

She added: “For me, getting older doesn’t matter. I don’t believe in criticizing age or appearance. I think people should do whatever they want. I enjoy running around feeling sexy, even at 52.”
