Giant Footprint Fossil Found in South Africa

Geologists in South Africa have documented what appears to be a massive footprint-shaped fossil measuring nearly 60 centimeters in length, embedded within ancient rock formations.

The imprint was identified during a regional geological survey examining exposed sedimentary layers believed to date back millions of years. According to field measurements, the formation resembles the outline of a human foot, complete with what appear to be defined toe impressions and an arch-like curve.

The apparent size of the footprint — far exceeding modern human proportions — has generated public curiosity. Some independent commentators have speculated about unknown prehistoric beings, pointing to the extreme antiquity suggested by surrounding rock strata.
