Iran has fired several salvos of advanced ballistic missiles toward Israel in immediate response to the latest wave of U.S.-Israeli strikes that destroyed key air-defense and nuclear-related sites inside Iran. The missiles included newer models with enhanced evasion capabilities.

Israeli defense systems intercepted the majority of projectiles, yet multiple impacts were reported near major population centers, triggering widespread panic and emergency shelter protocols across the country. Evacuations in vulnerable areas have been ordered as a precaution.

Tehran’s supreme leader described the attack as “the beginning of the end for the Zionist regime,” while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed that the response would be “swift, severe and decisive.” Both statements were delivered in nationally televised addresses to bolster morale.

The rapid tit-for-tat escalation has pushed the region to the brink, with global leaders scrambling to convene emergency sessions at the United Nations. Proposals for sanctions and arms embargoes are being discussed to curb further violence.
