10-YEAR-OLD ITAI BEN MIRIAM BEGINS BRAIN CANCER TREATMENT AFTER SUCCESSFUL SURGERY

Ten-year-old Itai Ben Miriam showed remarkable bravery when he underwent emergency brain surgery on February 12, 2026, during which doctors were able to successfully remove the entire tumor, bringing the best possible news to his worried family in what had been an extremely frightening time. After spending two weeks in the hospital recovering, Itai was finally able to return home, only for further testing to confirm the diagnosis of medulloblastoma, a form of childhood brain cancer that requires intensive follow-up treatment. He will now begin six weeks of daily radiation therapy combined with weekly chemotherapy, followed by an additional 12 to 18 months of maintenance chemotherapy to give him the strongest chance at a full recovery.

Despite everything he has already endured, Itai continues to display incredible courage and a positive spirit, often smiling and even joking with his family and medical team during the hardest days. His doctors remain very hopeful about his prognosis and are working closely with the family to manage each stage of treatment with care and compassion. The support from friends, extended family, and the wider community has become an important source of strength for everyone involved in Itai’s care.

As Itai begins this next phase of his healing journey, his family is asking for continued prayers and positive thoughts to help carry him through the months ahead. His story serves as an inspiring example of youthful resilience in the face of a serious diagnosis and highlights the importance of early detection and advanced medical care. Supporters are encouraged to keep lifting Itai up so that he knows he is surrounded by love and hope every step of the way.
