Iran Faces $800 Million Blow — U.S. Bases Targeted Across the Region

Amid intensifying conflict between Iran and the United States, new assessments suggest that Iranian missile and drone strikes have caused approximately $800 million in damage to U.S. military infrastructure across the region.
According to analyses based on defense studies, the damage occurred during the early weeks of the الحرب, as Iran launched retaliatory attacks following coordinated U.S.–Israeli strikes on its military facilities. Targets reportedly included American bases in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Iraq.
Among the most significant losses were high-value military assets, including air defense radar systems, base infrastructure, and support equipment. One advanced missile defense radar alone was estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, contributing heavily to the total cost.
Recent confirmed incidents highlight the ongoing threat. A missile and drone attack on a U.S. air base in Saudi Arabia injured multiple American personnel and damaged aircraft, underscoring Iran’s continued ability to strike regional targets despite sustained bombardment.
Military analysts note that Iran has increasingly relied on asymmetric warfare tactics, including drones, ballistic missiles, and dispersed strike capabilities. These methods allow Tehran to inflict damage without engaging in direct large-scale confrontation, complicating U.S. defensive efforts.
At the same time, the United States and its allies have significantly degraded Iran’s military infrastructure, with estimates suggesting that a substantial portion of its missile and drone production capacity has been destroyed. However, Iran continues to retain operational capabilities and has demonstrated the ability to sustain attacks across multiple countries.
