LETTING GO IS ALSO LOVE

She found the tiny bird on the ground, trembling and barely able to move. Instead of walking past, she carefully picked it up, holding it gently in her small hands as if it were something truly precious.

For days, she cared for it — feeding it gently, watching over it, and speaking to it in soft, reassuring whispers, as though her voice alone could give it strength. She didn’t rush the process or expect anything in return. She simply stayed, patient and present.
And then one day, the bird was ready. It spread its wings and flew away.
She didn’t cry.
She smiled.

Because deep down, she understood something many people take years to learn: love isn’t about holding on — it’s about caring enough to let go.
👉 Love sometimes means helping something grow, even if it leaves.
Would I have done the same?
I’d like to think so… but the truth is, letting go is never as easy as it sounds. It takes a different kind of strength — the kind that chooses someone else’s freedom over your own comfort.
