US President Donald Trump has entered full celebration mode. In less than two hours he launched several posts on Truth Social hailing Iran’s announcement on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz as a historic personal victory.

💬 In one message, Trump declared: “Iran has agreed to never close the Strait of Hormuz again. It will no longer be used as a weapon against the World!”. Minutes later came another brief and forceful post: “A GREAT AND BRILLIANT DAY FOR THE WORLD!”.

The president also claimed that, with US help, Iran is already removing sea mines from the strait. However, he clarified that the naval blockade on Iranian ports will remain in effect until 100% of the ongoing negotiation is complete.

Earlier he had thanked Tehran directly: “Iran just announced that the strait is completely open and ready for full passage. Thank you!”. A stunning turnaround from someone who days ago was demanding Iran “open the damn strait” under threat of destroying “entire civilizations”.
