THOR 5: THE STORM RETURNS (2026)

– The God of Thunder Returns with the Biggest Storm in the MCU!

Following the success of Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting Thor 5 — the fifth solo film for the God of Thunder. Although Marvel Studios has not yet announced an official title, the fan community has widely popularized the name “Thor 5: The Storm Returns” through numerous high-quality concept trailers on YouTube.

Current Status (Updated 2026)
Chris Hemsworth has confirmed that Thor will continue his journey after Avengers: Doomsday. He is in serious discussions with Marvel about a new solo film.
The project is reportedly in pre-production, with filming expected to begin in Fall 2025, and a possible release window in 2027–2029 (likely after Avengers: Secret Wars).
Marvel is currently searching for a new writer and director (Taika Waititi’s return is uncertain). Some rumors suggest Kenneth Branagh (director of the first Thor) could return to deliver a grand, emotional finale in the style of Logan.
Expected Plot (Based on Fan Concepts & Rumors)
“The Storm Returns” hints at a story that goes back to the roots, full of cosmic storms and the destiny of gods:

An older, battle-weary Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is trying to live a quiet life in New Asgard.
A massive cosmic fracture shakes the Nine Realms, forcing Thor back into his role as protector.
Familiar faces return: Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and possibly Jane Foster/Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman).
Potential villains: Hercules (Dwayne Johnson) in “Wrath of Olympus” concepts, or new threats from Valhalla, Doctor Doom, or ancient Asgardian forces.
The film promises a mix of massive-scale action, Thor’s signature humor, and deep emotional themes about the aging of gods, legacy, and succession.
