Years ago, a heartbreaking image from Nigeria shocked people around the world.

A small little boy, weak and abandoned, was found alone in the streets — struggling to survive after being rejected and left behind. Hungry, vulnerable, and with almost nothing to protect him, his future looked painfully uncertain.
