Elon Musk Intensifies Criticism of George Soros, Signals Strong Opposition to His Political Influence

Austin, Texas – Elon Musk, the world’s richest person and CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and owner of X, has once again publicly targeted billionaire philanthropist George Soros, accusing him of using his fortune to influence elections and fund activist movements.
In recent statements that have gone viral, Musk expressed deep frustration with Soros’s long-standing political activities. According to circulating reports, Musk remarked:
“He spends half of his wealth influencing elections and paying professional protesters and rioters. It’s about time someone showed him how powerless he can be.”
Musk, whose net worth is estimated at roughly 30 times that of Soros (who is believed to have a fortune of around $12 billion), added pointedly:
“I could buy and sell him dozens of times over.”
The comments reflect Musk’s ongoing criticism of Soros, whom he has previously accused of undermining Western civilization and supporting policies that Musk believes harm democratic institutions. Musk has referred to himself as the “anti-Soros” in past public appearances and has called for legal actions against organizations linked to the Soros network.
George Soros, through his Open Society Foundations, has donated billions of dollars over decades to support democracy, human rights, criminal justice reform, and progressive causes worldwide. Critics, including Musk, argue that much of this funding effectively supports left-leaning political movements, district attorneys soft on crime, and protest groups.
Reactions to Musk’s latest remarks have been sharply divided. Supporters view it as a necessary pushback against what they call “shadowy globalist influence,” while critics accuse Musk of promoting conspiracy theories about Soros, who is a frequent target of right-wing criticism and, at times, antisemitic tropes.
As of now, Musk has not outlined specific actions beyond his public statements, though he has previously hinted at legal or political countermeasures against certain Soros-backed NGOs.
This latest exchange adds fuel to the already intense public feud between two of the world’s most influential billionaires with vastly different political worldviews.
