18-Year-Old Alishon Torres Charged with Murder After Shooting Man 14 Times in Memphis

Suspect allegedly killed 58-year-old Noe Santillan Rincon three weeks after her 5-year-old sister reported inappropriate touching
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a 58-year-old man 14 times in Memphis, an incident authorities say was connected to accusations that the victim had inappropriately touched her 5-year-old sister.
Alishon Torres is accused of approaching Noe Santillan Rincon on Willowview Avenue, asking to borrow his phone, and then opening fire with two different guns. Rincon was shot 14 times, including once in the head.
According to police, the shooting occurred roughly three weeks after Torres’ 5-year-old sister told her that Rincon had touched her inappropriately.
Following the shooting, authorities say Torres drove the victim’s van to an abandoned house, painted it black in an apparent attempt to conceal it, and then abandoned the vehicle. She was arrested days later after a pistol reportedly fell from her purse during an encounter with law enforcement.
Torres faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the killing. The case has sparked intense discussion in the community, with some viewing her actions as an extreme response to protect her sister, while prosecutors are expected to argue the three-week gap indicates premeditation.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
