Mango CEO’s Son Jonathan Andic Claims New Video Proves He Didn’t Shove Dad Off Cliff to His Death

The son of late Mango fashion empire founder Isak Andic has released new video footage he claims proves his father’s fatal plunge off a cliff was an accident — not murder.
Jonathan Andic, 45, was arrested in Barcelona on May 19, 2026, in connection with the death of his 71-year-old father, who fell nearly 500 feet (around 150 meters) while hiking with him in Spain’s Montserrat mountains on December 14, 2024. He has strongly denied any involvement and is currently out on bail.
Andic’s legal team has now made public CCTV footage from February 2024 — ten months before the fatal incident — showing Isak Andic tripping and falling forward while walking on a sidewalk outside a Barcelona building. In the clip, two men nearby catch him just before his head hits the concrete.
The defense argues the video demonstrates that the Mango co-founder suffered from mobility issues, including osteoarthritis in both knees, which slowed his reaction time and prevented him from breaking a fall. This, they claim, explains the lack of defensive hand injuries noted in the autopsy, countering police suspicions of foul play.
Isak Andic, a billionaire who built the global fast-fashion brand Mango, initially had his death treated as an accident. However, the investigation was reopened after inconsistencies emerged in statements, along with reports of a strained father-son relationship and a possible change to the family will.
Jonathan Andic, who briefly served as vice president of the company following his father’s death, stepped down from the role days after his arrest. He maintains his innocence, describing the accusations against him as a “distorted” narrative.
He remains under investigation and is required to appear before the court weekly as the case continues.
This is a developing story.
