5-Year-Old Twin Sisters Who Drowned in Florida Rental Home Pool Were ‘Inseparable’

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A family vacation to Florida ended in unimaginable tragedy after 5-year-old twin sisters Parker and Paisley Sandidge drowned in the swimming pool of a vacation rental home.

The girls, who were visiting the Kissimmee area with family from Georgia, were found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool on the morning of June 12. They were airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where they were pronounced dead hours later.

According to officials, several adults staying at the property had left to get food, leaving a 15-year-old at the home. Investigators were told the teenager fell back asleep after the adults departed. Another child later woke up, noticed the twins were missing, and they were discovered in the pool.

A family friend described Parker and Paisley as truly “inseparable,” always side by side, playful, curious, and full of smiles that could light up any room. The twins’ bond was evident in every photo and story shared by loved ones.

The devastating loss has shaken the family and community. A fundraiser has been established to help cover funeral and burial expenses and to support the girls’ parents as they navigate this profound grief.

“No mother should ever have to bury her children,” one loved one said, echoing the heartbreak felt by all who knew the twins.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident, which is standard procedure in cases involving the deaths of children. No charges have been announced at this time.

This heartbreaking tragedy serves as a painful reminder of the constant vigilance required around water, especially when young children are present. Pool safety experts urge families to never leave children unsupervised near water, even for a short time.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Sandidge family, friends, and all those mourning the loss of Parker and Paisley. May the twins rest in peace and their memory bring comfort to those who loved them.
