CARTER COUNTY, Kentucky — As the search for missing 19-year-old Marly Kinney enters its fifth day, troubling questions continue to surround the circumstances of her disappearance during a boat outing with coworkers and friends.

Marly vanished on June 24, 2026, while aboard a rented pontoon boat on Grayson Lake. According to initial reports from those on board, she went into the water with a group to use the bathroom. Five people reportedly returned to the boat, but Marly did not. The group allegedly left the area and only realized hours later that she was missing — and strangely, none of them could recall the exact location where she had gone into the water.

The boat was reportedly rented by a manager for a work-related outing, and alcohol was present on board. The 23-year-old operator of the vessel was later arrested for boating under the influence.

Witnesses also reported seeing the group cliff diving at the lake that day, raising further speculation about whether an accident occurred during that activity.
