Ayoub’s Wish to See the World

Ayoub’s Wish to See the World
At just six years old, Ayoub Juneid has a simple dream — to see the world around him clearly and experience childhood like other children his age.
Living in Gaza, Ayoub faces severe vision loss along with a neurological condition that makes everyday activities much more difficult. His special glasses are not just a tool for clearer sight — they are what help him understand his surroundings and move through daily life with greater independence.
When his glasses were damaged after a fall, everything changed. Without them, Ayoub struggled to see and became unable to move around the way he normally could.
For days, he remained quiet and isolated, unable to fully interact with the world around him. A simple object that many people take for granted had become essential to his ability to explore, learn, and feel confident.
Even with his glasses, Ayoub faces challenges that other children do not. Running, playing, and discovering new things require extra effort and courage.
But behind those challenges is a young boy with hopes, dreams, and a desire to experience life fully.
For Ayoub and his family, access to the right medical support can make an enormous difference. His story is a reminder that sometimes a small piece of assistance can open a much bigger world for a child.
Every child deserves the chance to see, learn, play, and imagine a future filled with possibilities.
