Texas Woman Audrey Troncoso Allegedly Kills Boyfriend After Catching Him Abusing Daughter, Dismembers Body With Father’s Help

San Angelo, Texas — A disturbing homicide investigation in San Angelo has resulted in murder charges against 31-year-old Audrey Troncoso, who police say confessed to shooting and stabbing her live-in boyfriend to death after allegedly discovering him sexually abusing her daughter. Her father was also arrested for helping conceal the crime.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the killing occurred on June 23, 2026, at a residence in the 1400 block of Parker Street. Troncoso told investigators she shot 34-year-old Roland Matthew Sheppard in the face and stabbed him multiple times, causing his death. She then allegedly dismembered his body in an attempt to hide the evidence.

Troncoso reportedly called her father, Mario Valdez Troncoso Jr., 54, for assistance. Portions of Sheppard’s remains were disposed of in a dumpster at the Apple Tree Apartments and later tracked to a Republic Services landfill on Old Ballinger Highway. Investigators also recovered bloody clothing, a large piece of blood-stained carpet, and other evidence from the scene. Some remains were reportedly wrapped in Christmas paper and mixed with concrete.

An anonymous tip on June 24 led police to the evidence. Troncoso was arrested and charged with murder. She is being held in the Tom Green County Jail on a $2 million bond. Her father faces charges related to tampering with physical evidence.

Police have described the case as one of the most violent in recent memory. The investigation remains ongoing.
