BREAKING DEVLEOPMENT: Viral video introduces shocking new questions to the Herrington Lake fatal boat collision.

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Nearly a week has passed since a boating crash on Herrington Lake killed one person and sent another to the hospital. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KYFW) has revealed the identities of the boat operators involved in the crash.
According to KYFW’s preliminary investigation, a wake boat—operated by 34-year-old Cody Casey of Harrodsburg—crashed into a pontoon—operated by 58-year-old Alex Svintozelskiy of Nicholasville—on July 4 on Herrington Lake in Mercer County.
PREVIOUS | Missing victim found dead after Fourth of July boat crash on Herrington Lake A passenger of the pontoon, Nazar Svintozelskiy, 25, was ejected into the water. His body was found and recovered from Herrington Lake two days later on July 6.
The cause of death will be determined pending his autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

A memorial service for Svintozelskiy will be held at 6 p.m. July 12 at the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church in Lexington. His funeral is scheduled at 10 a.m. July 13 at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville.
