Baxley, Georgia — An urgent search is underway for 13-year-old Layla Carter, who was reported missing on July 16, 2026. Authorities have issued an Amber Alert as police and the community work together to locate the teen and bring her home safely.

Layla is described as a Black female, 5’02” tall, weighing about 100 lbs, with braided blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. She may be traveling in a gray Jeep Renegade with Georgia license plate SLU9322.

Her family is desperately pleading for information, asking anyone who may have seen Layla or the vehicle to come forward immediately. Investigators continue to gather details as the search intensifies.
