PENNSYLVANIA — Two Pennsylvania women have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after admitting to years of horrific abuse against an 11-year-old girl who prosecutors say was starved, physically assaulted, and confined under inhumane conditions inside the family home.

According to prosecutors, Amanda Gregorio, 35, and her mother, Stacey Louder, 50, subjected the child to prolonged physical and emotional abuse. Investigators said the girl was severely malnourished, weighing only about 50 pounds when authorities intervened.

Court records revealed that the child was frequently restrained to a bed with straps and monitored by surveillance cameras. She was allegedly denied regular access to a bathroom, forcing her to remain in unsanitary conditions for extended periods. Prosecutors also described repeated incidents of physical abuse and prolonged neglect that left the girl isolated and living in fear.

The abuse came to light after authorities launched an investigation into the family’s living conditions. Medical examinations documented the child’s severe malnutrition and other signs consistent with long-term neglect and mistreatment.

During the sentencing hearing, the survivor’s victim impact statement was read aloud in court by prosecutors. In a powerful message directed at the two women, she said:

“I want you to suffer.”

The statement described the lasting emotional and psychological trauma she continues to face while expressing hope for a future free from abuse.

A judge sentenced both women to decades in prison, emphasizing the prolonged and calculated nature of the crimes. The court noted that the abuse robbed the child of a safe childhood and caused lasting physical and emotional harm.

Child welfare advocates say the case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of recognizing signs of child abuse and reporting suspected neglect to authorities, as early intervention can help protect vulnerable children from ongoing harm.
