Mother of Javeayah Harris Ordered Held Without Bond as Investigation Continues

The investigation into the death of 4-year-old Javeayah Harris continues as authorities in Aiken County, South Carolina, search for answers—and for the child’s remains.

According to court officials, Michilae Herring has been ordered held without bond after being charged with homicide by child abuse and filing a false police report. During a separate hearing, Javeayah’s father, Johmarea Harris, was also denied bond on a charge of homicide by child abuse.
