The latest developments have expanded the scope of public attention beyond the Hamden home where 16 children were rescued on June 30, 2026.

A SECOND PROPERTY HAS NOW COME UNDER SCRUTINY

One of the most significant new developments is the discovery of another Ohio property connected to the family. According to recent reporting, the Siders family lived at the Gallia County residence between approximately 2020 and 2024, and the property was reportedly found in similarly severe condition, with extensive waste and abandoned belongings inside.

That revelation raises a major question for investigators:

Were the conditions found in the Hamden home an isolated situation — or part of a much longer pattern?

The answer could become important as prosecutors attempt to establish how long the alleged neglect continued and what different family members knew about the children’s circumstances.

INSIDE THE HAMDEN HOME, INVESTIGATORS DESCRIBED EXTREME CONDITIONS

When authorities executed a search warrant at the Hamden residence, they discovered 16 children ranging from approximately 18 months to 18 years old living in what officials described as deplorable conditions.

Authorities said many of the children had been confined largely to a small room, where investigators found human waste and extremely unsanitary conditions. Seven children were taken to hospitals following the rescue, with one initially reported to be in critical condition.
