Look closely at this sweet little girl. The big brown eyes. The tiny Winnie the Pooh pajamas. That little smile.

Look closely at this sweet little girl.
The big brown eyes. The tiny Winnie the Pooh pajamas. That little smile.
Now look at where she is.
Nevaeh isn’t even 1 year old, and nearly half of her life has been spent fighting leukemia.
Her mom, Jaden, reached out to me after another parent at OU Children’s Hospital told him about the families we’ve surrounded with prayers on this page.
Her little girl needs some of those prayers now.
Nevaeh was only 6 months old when doctors diagnosed her with acute pre-B lymphoblastic leukemia.
Six months old.
Before she could say her first words or take her first steps, her family was learning words like leukemia, chemotherapy and treatment.

The photos Jaden shared with me show the childhood they’re living right now.
There’s Bluey playing on an iPad while Nevaeh undergoes care.
There are hands surrounding her and comforting her through procedures.
And then there are those huge eyes looking back at the camera from a hospital room, seemingly unaware of just how much her tiny body is already fighting.
Nevaeh is now 11 months old.
There’s a lot of fear and anxiety about her health. We’ve been asked to help surround them with love and prayers.
What I also love about how this story reached me is that one family fighting for their child helped another.
So before this beautiful little girl celebrates her very first birthday, let’s show her family that they are not alone.
Pray for Nevaeh’s treatment.
Pray for her little body to keep fighting.
And pray for her parents to have the strength to carry their daughter through a battle she isn’t old enough to understand.
