NEW YORK CITY — A weeklong manhunt for a 31-year-old parolee accused of killing two men during a series of armed robberies across New York City has ended with an arrest, police said.

Jesus Acosta was taken into custody Saturday morning after an anonymous 911 caller reported seeing him at a park in the Bronx. According to investigators, Acosta allegedly approached 33-year-old Tayvon Shuler inside a deli on East 149th Street.

Police say Acosta then went behind the counter and took cash from the register before leaving the scene.

Shuler later died from his injuries.
