MO3 Murder Trial: Jury Shown Surveillance Video

A key piece of visual evidence was presented to the jury Friday during the murder trial of Kewon White.

Prosecutors showed surveillance footage as they continued building their case surrounding the 2020 killing of Dallas rapper MO3.

During their presentation, prosecutors pointed to what they described as similar-colored underwear visible in the surveillance footage and dashcam video recorded around the time of the shooting.

The comparison was presented as part of the prosecution’s effort to connect the person seen in the surveillance footage to the individual involved in the deadly highway attack.

MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was fatally shot on Interstate 35 in Dallas in November 2020.

The video evidence gives jurors an opportunity to examine the movements and appearance of people captured before and during the incident.

Prosecutors are asking jurors to consider the footage alongside witness testimony and other evidence introduced throughout the trial.

The defense, however, will have the opportunity to challenge the prosecution’s interpretation of the images.

Whether the similarities shown in the videos are meaningful will ultimately be for the jury to determine.

The courtroom has heard numerous accounts of the events surrounding MO3’s final moments.

Now, jurors are being asked to piece together those accounts with the visual evidence.

For MO3’s family, the trial remains a painful effort to understand what happened to the rapper that day.
