This polychrome limestone detail comes from a bas-relief in the Temple of Thutmose III, Deir el-Bahari, West Thebes .

Dating to the New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty (1427–1401 BC), it depicts Hathor, the protective cow goddess, lovingly 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 the young prince, who would later become Pharaoh Amenhotep II .

The vibrant colors and delicate carving highlight the 𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 and divine aspects of Hathor .
