Then, during what should have been a routine scan, our reality fractured once more. The tumor was back. This time, it wasn’t just persistent—it was aggressive and malignant. A quick surgery removed it, but the pathology confirmed our deepest fear: medulloblastoma, a rare and devastating cancer that had already stolen my niece from us.

Hearing that word felt like the floor collapsed beneath our feet. Medulloblastoma is cruel, fast, and unforgiving. Knowing it had become our son’s battle felt unbearable.

Yet there he was—still smiling. Still asking when he could go back to the park. Still living with the innocence only a child can hold onto.

Despite everything, Hubcio shines with a resilience that humbles us every day. He knows something is wrong. He knows his body is fighting a giant he cannot see. But he doesn’t allow it to steal his joy.

He still dreams of simple things—running, playing, exploring like any child his age. His spirit remains untouched, bold, and full of life.
