Kraven the Hunter (2024)

Kraven the Hunter (2024) is a gritty and character-driven superhero film from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe that reimagines one of Marvel’s most compelling antiheroes for the big screen.

At the heart of the story is Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff / Kraven the Hunter, a complex and morally conflicted figure who transforms from the privileged son of a ruthless crime lord into a fierce, animal-aligned warrior with a mission to hunt down the world’s worst villains — all while wrestling with his own inner demons and turbulent family history.

Ariana DeBose brings magnetic presence to Calypso Ezili, a voodoo-savvy attorney whose mystical connection to Kraven adds emotional depth and unpredictability to their alliance. Fred Hechinger gives an intriguing turn as Dmitri Kravinoff / Chameleon, Kraven’s estranged half-brother and master of disguise, while Alessandro Nivola embodies the brutal mercenary Rhino, a formidable foe with near-invulnerable powers.

The legendary Russell Crowe adds gravitas as Nikolai Kravinoff, Kraven’s stern father whose legacy of violence and hunting shapes the film’s emotional core. Rounding out the cast is Christopher Abbott as the enigmatic assassin known as The Foreigner, making Kraven the Hunter a vivid, action-packed dive into the blurred lines between predator and protector in the Marvel mythos.
