According to Forbes’ annual list released in late December 2025, singer The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) surpassed Taylor Swift to become the highest-earning artist of the year, with an estimated $298 million in pre-tax income from music-related activities.

The Weeknd’s biggest financial success came from his After Hours Til Dawn tour, which launched in 2022 and has continued through 2025.

The tour has surpassed $1 billion in total revenue, making it the highest-grossing tour in history by a male solo artist. The previous record was held by Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which grossed $939 million.
