Angelina Jolie stuns in a sheer gown at 51

Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie stole the spotlight as she radiantly walked the red carpet at the Paris premiere of her new film Couture. The actress appeared in an elegant, sheer gown adorned with delicate silver floral embellishments, complemented by fringe details and short sleeves.

In Couture, Jolie portrays Maxine, an American film director who travels to Paris during fashion week and becomes swept into a turbulent journey—one that forces her to confront life-and-death challenges while rediscovering herself.

Speaking to French media, Jolie said she was particularly drawn to the character of Maxine because the story is closely tied to breast cancer. Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away in 2007 after a long battle with ovarian and breast cancer. That loss later led Jolie to undergo preventive surgeries, including a double mastectomy as well as the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes.

Reflecting on the film, Jolie described Couture as a rare work that approaches cancer from a hopeful and humane perspective. Rather than focusing solely on tragedy, the film emphasizes life, desire, and how people confront pain. She expressed deep appreciation for director Alice Winocour for her sensitive and compassionate handling of such a delicate subject.

Jolie first publicly revealed her preventive cancer surgeries in 2013. It wasn’t until 2025, when she appeared on the cover of the French edition of TIME, that she showed her post-surgery scars for the first time—explaining that her intention was not to seek attention, but to empower women with information and the freedom to make choices about their own bodies.

Couture is set for a global release in the near future and also stars Ella Rumpf, Anyier Anei, and Louis Garrel.

Born in 1975 in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie is an internationally renowned actress, director, producer, and humanitarian. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Girl, Interrupted and has left a lasting mark with films such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Wanted, Salt, and Maleficent. Beyond cinema, she is widely respected for her global humanitarian work and social influence.

In her personal life, Jolie was previously married to actor Brad Pitt, with whom she shares six children—three adopted and three biological. Despite enduring many personal challenges, she continues to embody strength, independence, and significant cultural impact.
