Justin Bieber Tattoos Wife’s Portrait on His Back, Sparks Mixed Reactions

Pop star Justin Bieber recently revealed a large tattoo on his back while performing shirtless at the Grammy Awards, igniting widespread discussion online. Many fans believe the tattoo depicts the face of his wife, Hailey Bieber, though the artwork has also drawn criticism.
The tattoo, prominently placed in the center of Bieber’s back, quickly became a hot topic after the ceremony. Fans pointed out that the image appears to be inspired by Hailey’s Elle magazine cover from 2020. The design shows a woman with long hair and angel wings, closely resembling the model’s look in that photoshoot.

Many supporters praised the singer’s romantic gesture, leaving comments such as: “Justin Bieber really tattooed Hailey’s face,” “I need a man like this,” and “She’s so lucky!”
However, not everyone was impressed. Some fans argued the tattoo doesn’t truly resemble Hailey, with harsh critiques calling it “a faded Jesus image” or joking, “How do celebrities always find such bad tattoo artists?”
Others compared it to Bieber’s earlier tattoo inspired by his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. That portrait, once inked on his wrist and based on a Selena photoshoot for Elle, was later covered up following their breakup.

Justin attended this year’s Grammy Awards with Hailey Bieber and received four nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best R&B Performance. Although he didn’t take home any trophies, he made a strong impression with a live performance of his song YUKON, marking his return to the Grammys after a four-year absence.
Fans are now eagerly anticipating Justin Bieber’s rumored appearance at Coachella this April, which would be his first major live performance in the US in several years. Hailey is said to have encouraged her husband to accept the invitation to perform at the iconic festival.
