In the image Ariana shared on Instagram on January 26, she wears a floral Dior outfit paired with sheer white gloves, creating a classic, elegant look. However, as she poses with her left hand resting against a wall, viewers noticed what looked like an “extra finger” between her ring finger and pinky—widely believed to be a photo-editing mistake.

As the image circulated across fan accounts with captions like “Who’s responsible for giving Ariana six fingers?”, the 32-year-old singer quickly caught on. Responding with humor in the comments, she wrote: “OMG this is so fun! I’ve always said I needed a few extra parts to start making albums! Feeling grateful.”

Fans joined in on the joke, with comments such as “I knew you were hiding something,” “Ariana AI Grande,” and “This has been my phone wallpaper and I only just noticed.” Another fan admitted, “I didn’t even realize it at all.”

Vogue Japan later reposted the corrected image, removing the apparent extra finger. The magazine has not issued an official statement regarding the mishap.

In her interview with Vogue Japan, Ariana also reflected on her career and the downside of fame. “There are so many moments when I feel I’m doing my best creative work, but the noise around my personal life becomes louder than the art itself,” she said emotionally.
