Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ‘Put Wedding Plans on Hold’

Taylor Swift is reportedly postponing her wedding plans so that Travis Kelce can focus on his career.

A source close to the couple told Page Six that the 36-year-old singer is currently prioritizing emotional support for her boyfriend following a disappointing season for the Kansas City Chiefs, rather than moving forward with wedding preparations. According to the insider, Swift has chosen to spend more time with Kelce and deliberately avoids placing any pressure on him about marriage, as she wants him to make career decisions in the most relaxed and clear-headed state possible.

The source added that Swift views this period as the first major test of their relationship. Previously, the couple had grown close during a time when both of their careers were flourishing — from the success of Swift’s tour to the Super Bowl titles Kelce had won. Now, however, standing on the brink of possible retirement, the football star is facing pivotal, life-shaping choices for the first time.

According to insiders, Kelce has been feeling somewhat discouraged as speculation about his retirement has intensified following the unsuccessful 2025–2026 season. He had previously considered leaving the NFL after the 2024–2025 season, but ultimately decided to continue playing in hopes of winning another Super Bowl. Sources say Kelce is expected to make a final decision and formally inform the team in early March, just a few weeks after the Super Bowl.

Even so, Kelce’s future is said to remain wide open — not only in his personal life but also in potential post-football career opportunities. Last month, Page Six reported exclusively that Swift and her boyfriend have begun envisioning life after the NFL, with Kelce possibly expanding into television and media.

Representatives for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have not commented on the reports.

Previously, the celebrity couple announced their engagement in August 2025 and had planned an intimate wedding in Rhode Island in the summer of 2026. However, those plans are now believed to have changed. Exclusive sources reveal that they are considering additional locations, including Tennessee, as well as the possibility of hosting the ceremony on a private island.
