Paris Hilton speaks out for the first time about her long-running feud with Lindsay Lohan

After nearly two decades of being estranged, Paris Hilton has publicly opened up for the first time about her relationship with Lindsay Lohan. She revealed that the two have decided to put their past conflicts behind them and move toward reconciliation, brought together by a new common ground: motherhood, according to Mirror on February 1.
The highly publicized feud between Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan was once among the most talked-about celebrity rivalries in international entertainment, dating back to 2006. However, nearly 20 years on, it appears that family life and the experience of becoming mothers have helped both women let go of long-standing resentment.

Reconnecting through their children
Paris Hilton shared this update during a recent appearance on the talk show Watch What Happens Live, hosted by Andy Cohen. She said that she and Lohan are planning to meet up for a casual outing together—with their children.
The feud between the two stars became public in 2006 and was widely believed to have stemmed from a love triangle involving Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos. Around the same time, oil heir Brandon Davis, a friend of Paris Hilton, sparked outrage by making offensive remarks about Lindsay Lohan. Paris was seen laughing at the comments, further escalating tensions.

Davis later issued a public apology to Lohan, and Hilton’s representative released a statement clarifying that his remarks did not reflect Paris’s personal views or feelings toward Lindsay. Despite this, the rift between the two celebrities continued.
One particularly infamous incident occurred when Lindsay Lohan unexpectedly joined Paris Hilton and Britney Spears during a night out—an event the media dubbed the “Holy Trinity.” Paris later told reporters that the outing was intended to include only herself and Spears, stating that Lohan had not been invited. The comment left Lindsay embarrassed in front of the public.

For years afterward, the two women exchanged public jabs through the media. As recently as 2019, Paris Hilton drew criticism during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live when she was asked to name three positive things about Lindsay Lohan but instead made negative remarks.
A shift toward maturity and peace
The tone of their relationship began to soften in 2022, as both women reached major life milestones. Paris Hilton said that her own marriage and Lindsay Lohan’s engagement helped them view past conflicts with greater maturity. Hilton also revealed that she was the one who reached out to Lohan after learning of her engagement, breaking years of silence and tension.
The following year, Lindsay Lohan confirmed she was expecting her first child, marking a new chapter in her life. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Paris Hilton expressed her happiness for Lohan, saying: “I’m truly happy for her. It’s wonderful to see my friends grow up and start families. My advice is to cherish every moment, because it’s all so precious.”
