Kristen Stewart has opened up for the first time about her joyful married life following her wedding to screenwriter Dylan Meyer in April.

“It feels wonderful to have a family. It feels wonderful not to be a single, isolated individual anymore,” Stewart said in an interview with Esquire, published last week. She shared that when Dylan entered her life, she immediately realized how important it was to be intentional about the people she keeps close. “Dylan never tolerates superficiality. I may not always show it, but I’m actually a pretty soft person,” she added.

One of Stewart’s favorite simple pleasures is reading alongside Dylan, their two cats, and their dog at their Los Feliz home, valued at around USD 2 million. The couple share a love for classic literature, including East of Eden, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. The Twilight star said that sharing beloved books with her partner gives her a deep sense of comfort and emotional balance.
While embracing married life, Stewart still cherishes moments of solitude. Each morning, the 35-year-old actress spends one to two hours alone before her wife wakes up. “I’m an Aries, so I naturally like being around people,” she explained. “That’s why I make time for those quiet moments, to remind myself that I can still be alone.”

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer first met in 2013 on the set of American Ultra. After losing touch for several years, they reconnected in 2019 at a mutual friend’s party. Just two weeks later, Stewart confessed her feelings, and the couple soon went public with their relationship. Meyer proposed in late 2021, and the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in April, attended by close family and friends.
Beyond their personal bond, Stewart and Meyer are also creative partners. Most recently, they collaborated on The Chronology of Water, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and was released in North America on December 5. Stewart made her directorial debut with the film, while Meyer served as one of its producers. The couple also co-wrote the screenplay for the upcoming film The Wrong Girls.
