Channing Tatum’s Ex-Wife to Receive a Share of His Pension After Divorce

Former Hollywood couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have finally reached a financial settlement after years of legal disputes surrounding profits from the Magic Mike franchise.

Court documents filed on November 26 reveal key financial terms in the divorce agreement between Tatum, 45, and Dewan, 44. Under the settlement, Dewan will receive approximately 50% of Tatum’s pension accrued through the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) during the years they were married. In return, Tatum is entitled to a similar percentage of Dewan’s SAG pension earned in the same period.

The former couple separated in 2018 after nine years of marriage. While they quickly agreed on joint custody of their daughter Everly, disputes over asset division — particularly financial matters — dragged on for several years.

The most contentious issue centered on profits from the Magic Mike brand. Dewan argued that Magic Mike, starring and co-produced by Tatum, was financed with marital funds. She claimed to have contributed to the development of the broader franchise, which includes two sequels, a Las Vegas stage show, an HBO reality series, and multiple commercial deals. Dewan maintained she was entitled to half of the profits, a claim Tatum consistently denied.

Before the settlement was reached, Dewan accused Tatum of failing to fully disclose financial records related to the franchise. Tatum, on the other hand, argued that Dewan was responsible for prolonging the divorce proceedings. He stated that he had “done everything possible” to resolve the matter without litigation, including making several settlement offers and participating in mediation sessions.

Tatum also contended that Dewan did not require spousal support, noting: “We were married for eight years and eight months and have been separated for more than six years. I don’t believe her request for support is reasonable.” He emphasized that Dewan has been engaged to actor Steve Kazee for four years and that the couple share two children.

In an interview with Variety in September, Tatum said his relationship with Dewan is now “in a good place,” though he admitted that the breakdown of their marriage while they were young and raising a small child was “truly painful.”

Following the divorce, Tatum dated The Batman star Zoë Kravitz. The couple became engaged in late 2023 but split in 2024. He is currently in a relationship with 26-year-old model Inka Williams.
