According to The Sun, Dave Gardner—best friend and former representative of David Beckham—made a notable move on social media at a time when the Beckham family is said to be “divided.” Specifically, he posted a birthday photo marking Cruz’s 21st.

In the image, Dave poses alongside Cruz and Marc Anthony, the MC who was indirectly linked to the conflict surrounding Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding. “Have the best day. Love you, Cruz,” Dave captioned the post. The inclusion of Marc Anthony in a celebratory post for Cruz has been interpreted as a provocative gesture aimed at Brooklyn.

Previously, Marc Anthony was drawn into the spotlight amid controversy over tensions within the famous football family. At Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, instead of inviting the bride to the stage, Marc called Victoria Beckham up to perform the first dance with the groom. The situation became even more awkward when he referred to the groom’s mother as “the most beautiful woman in the room,” reportedly leaving the bride, Nicola Peltz Beckham, upset and in tears as she left the reception.

Last weekend, the Beckham family also hosted a birthday celebration for Cruz at The Maine Mayfair. The party was attended by most family members—except Brooklyn and his wife.
