Submerged Giant Skeleton Reported Off Mediterranean Coast
Divers exploring a section of the Mediterranean seabed have claimed to discover what they describe as enormous skeletal remains partially buried in marine sediment.
According to the dive team’s preliminary account, the bones appear unusually large and arranged in a formation that some observers interpreted as humanoid. Underwater footage shows elongated structures protruding from the seabed, drawing immediate public attention after images circulated online.

However, marine biologists and paleontologists urge caution. Experts note that the Mediterranean basin has yielded numerous fossils of extinct marine megafauna, including large whales and prehistoric marine mammals. Fragmented skeletal remains, especially when viewed underwater with limited perspective, can create misleading impressions of human-like arrangement.
Specialists emphasize that underwater optical distortion, sediment displacement, and erosion can alter the apparent shape and scale of bones. Without careful recovery, anatomical comparison, and laboratory analysis, classification is not possible.

Researchers are calling for controlled excavation using remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and detailed osteological examination to determine whether the remains belong to known marine species.
At this stage, scientists stress that no verified evidence supports the existence of giant humanoid beings in the Mediterranean. The most likely explanation remains misidentified marine megafauna — though full scientific assessment is still pending.
