Gina Dewdney’s ultrasound scan delivered news that carried odds of one in 200 million: she was expecting three boys who would all share a single placenta. The pregnancy quickly became both rare and extremely risky, leaving her barely able to walk as her body transformed almost overnight. Premature labour struck at 31 weeks, followed by long weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit and constant fear that not all three babies would make it home safely.
