Not Alone Anymore

At the beginning, he looked alone.
Even surrounded by others, even with movement and life all around him… he felt separate.
You could see it in the way he sat.
In the way he watched instead of joined.
In the way he held himself just slightly apart.
But by the end, something had changed.
Not everything.
He wasn’t suddenly bold.
He wasn’t suddenly fearless.
But he wasn’t alone anymore.
There were others beside him now.
Close enough to touch.
Close enough to feel.
No one made a big gesture.
No dramatic moment.
Just presence.
Just quiet acceptance.
And sometimes…
that’s all it takes.
Because for some, the biggest step isn’t becoming confident.
It’s simply realizing…
you don’t have to be alone anymore.
