Suspect Arrested in Chicago Shooting That Left One Dead, Two Injured

CHICAGO, Ill. — A suspect has been arrested following a late-night shooting that left one person dead and two others injured on the city’s South Side, authorities confirmed.

According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 11:30 p.m. on March 24 in Chicago.

Upon arrival, police discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were transported to a nearby hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators stated that the suspect fled immediately after the shooting. Detectives quickly launched an investigation, reviewing surveillance footage and collecting witness statements. These efforts led to the identification of a suspect within 24 hours.

The individual was taken into custody on March 25 and is expected to face multiple felony charges.
