Tensions in the Persian Gulf have officially reached a violent breaking point following a massive Israeli military operation.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that a powerful strike was executed against Iran’s South Pars petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh.

This announcement followed almost immediately after reports from Tehran indicated that the site was under heavy bombardment.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted this specific location because it is responsible for roughly 50% of Iran’s total petrochemical production.

This operation follows another major attack from last week, which targeted a secondary but equally vital energy facility.

Analysts suggest that these two strikes together have knocked out approximately 85% of Iran’s petrochemical export capacity.
