MILEI RECEIVES THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF HONOR, ISRAEL’S HIGHEST CIVIL DISTINCTION nt

The Argentine president was decorated this Monday with the Presidential Medal of Honor at the Presidential Residence in Jerusalem. Isaac Herzog presented him with Israel’s highest civil distinction, in recognition of the explicit and sustained support Milei has shown toward the country since he took office in 2023.

Hours earlier, Bar-Ilan University had invested him as Doctor Honoris Causa. His sister Karina Milei placed the gown on him, Argentine Ambassador Axel Wahnish handed him the honorary medal, and Rector Amnon Albeck gave him the title. Milei delivered a nearly one-hour speech on economics, philosophy, and what he called “the capitalist paradise”.
The phrase that marked the day was blunt. “With certain cultures we are not going to be able to coexist, because we defend life and they will want to kill us”, Milei declared at Bar-Ilan, in clear reference to Iran and Islamic radicalism. He also attacked journalism, saying “a large part plays for the forces of evil”.
