💙🔥 SONALI MUKHERJEE — FROM TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH

At just 17 years old, Sonali Mukherjee’s life was violently altered in a way no one could ever imagine. After rejecting a man’s advances, she became the victim of a brutal acid attack—an act that left her with devastating injuries.

The damage was severe. Sonali suffered burns covering around 70% of her body and lost her eyesight. The physical pain was overwhelming, but the emotional and psychological impact was equally profound. What followed was not just recovery—it was a long and relentless fight to rebuild her life.

Over the next decade, Sonali underwent more than 35 surgeries. Each procedure was a step forward, though often painful and uncertain. Yet through it all, she refused to give up.

Her resilience became even more widely recognized in 2012, when she appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. With determination and courage, she won 2.5 million Rupees. She used the prize money not for comfort, but to continue her medical journey—including treatments aimed at restoring her vision.

Beyond survival, Sonali found something many thought would be impossible after such trauma—love. In 2015, she married Chittaranjan Tiwari, who stood by her side with unwavering support. Together, they built a life grounded in understanding, strength, and compassion.

Today, Sonali is not only a survivor but also a mother and an advocate. She uses her voice to raise awareness about acid attacks and to support others who have endured similar violence. Her story has become a powerful symbol of resilience, showing that even in the face of unimaginable suffering, it is possible to reclaim purpose and hope.

Sonali Mukherjee’s journey is not defined by what was done to her—but by how she chose to rise after it.

From tragedy… to strength.
From pain… to purpose. 💙
